I am a mother of two beautiful girls with a very keen eye. Five years ago, I started my own successful interior design business, Tamara Jane Interiors. Over the last few years, due to popular demand, I have offered a bespoke decluttering service. I take pride in working with my clients in their homes or workplaces. Due to an increase in the level of interest, I now offer a unique decluttering service within London and the South East.

  • Senior downsizing
  • Decluttering and reorganising your office or workspace

All projects are quoted individually as the requests are always very specific. I offer an initial half an hour video/telephone call at the property to discuss your requirements in brief detail. Following this call, for a minimal fee, I can arrange a home visit to discuss your project further and then give you a bespoke detailed quotation within three working days. If you decide to work with me after this meeting, the fee will be deducted from the final invoice.

Senior Downsizing

I work closely and in a considered way with all my clients, supporting them through this process. Undertaking a lifestyle change like this can be exciting but sometimes also very distressing and upsetting. At Dignified Decluttering, I believe that I can make it a positive and holistic journey using a tremendous amount of care, dignity and professionalism.

I carry out four main steps in a dignified way throughout the journey:

  • Declutter – work room by room towards removal of any unwanted items
  • Donate – recycle items to charities and waste sites, or I can sell larger items or valuables to make capital (with an additional fee of 10% of any profits made)
  • Document – list, photograph and record items that may need to go into storage and not be readily accessible to my client
  • Pack the remaining items to move to the new property
This process can also be carried out as a single project if you just need my support for an individual room or office. I can either work with my client in the property or, if this is not possible for any reason, I can communicate virtually and work remotely.

All decisions are made together and then the necessary actions taken.

Bereavement

Sadly, when a loved one passes away, along with the emotional upset and loss, there can be a huge amount of immediate pressure in taking control of their estate, along with the inevitable anxiety of clearing highly personal belongings. This undertaking can be too much for some people, and part of my role is to carry out these tasks. The process is the same as downsizing. However, I work directly with the relative, next of kin or executor for the family.

I am very happy to supply a signed NDA for such personal work.

Project Management

The following services are also available should you require them.

  • Sourcing a removal company/team/man-with-a-van for my client
  • Locating a competitively priced storage unit if necessary
  • At times, the old property may need to be sold or rented out. I have trusted trade contacts whom I can organise to carry out any cleaning, maintenance, building or redecorating work for you
  • I can support you in packing, organising and settling into your new home, making the transition smoother and less stressful
Individual prices can be quoted for each of these services or projects.
